Out our backdoor … down the footpath to the river edge … another adventure begins …
inner-tubing/kayaking down the Cowichan River.
This is one of the most popular summer activities.

It’s approximately a two hour float/paddle down river to Duncan (it’s only an 8 minute drive). Enjoy the twists and winds of the river and the most amazing natural scenery.

Cowichan River Lodge is next door to BC Parks, the TransCanada Trail & the Cowichan River Footpath. The Cowichan River Footpath connects all the rivers parks and makes for an excellent scenic hike along the Cowichan River.

We share this natural habitat with much more than just our guests. It's not uncommon the see deer, eagles, bears, cougars & elk. While visiting the Cowichan River Lodge, you will have many opportunities to enjoy the local wildlife. Don’t forget your camera.
